my goal towards peace.
what i really ant to try and accomplish is inspiring others not by words but more so with my actions. i find that words only go so far and are only so effective. if people actually see someone doing somehing about a problem they are more willing to follow. i see alot of social segregation among my peers and hen i ask myself howw does this type of behavior even form i realize its because no one really takes action and considers these problems to bother anyone but they do. an example would be some calling another person a nerd which is also considered bullying, or even the stereotyping that i myself am guilty of when i see someone dressed a certain way i automatically question my self if i want to talk to them or not, judging a person before you even know them is honestly the worst thing thing you can do it just shows how closed minded you are. what i want to work towarsd is when i see a friend stereotyping ill be sure and tell him to not to judge a book by its cover because it might be a great story. a great way way to break the ice would beto go up to that other group and just start a random conversation with them get to them. if more people thought this way we would have such a great and diverse of people coming together and that is something im willing to work towards.
Inner Peace
inner peace is something that should be achieved only through a balanced mind. we all have many issues and nobody is perfect but we all deeply need this inner self acceptance and self apprection. As human beings we all have our insecurites thats why its important that we practice and become awaqre of these issues of ours and really look within ourselves to find the answers. we all struggle daily to find this inner peace but not alott of get to enjoy its comforts. Inner peace is achieved when you completely let something offf your shoulders and accept a certain matter for what it is and dont let it bother you but rather let it make you stronger or wiser. Being at peace with yourself is great way to feel whole and a great goal to always strife to. if your happy with who you are , where you are and the things that you are doing that positvee balance in your life well glow from you and it will inspire others.
Egyptian revolution
Currently the long ruler mubarak has steeped down in power from being ruler. This is absolutely historic because egypt has always had a one man ruler from its earliest forms of civilization. this shows the frustration and desperation that the egyptians are having and its more than obvious why they would want to have a new form of government such as a democracy. The people were protesting in the capital square for weeks demanding mubarak to leave power. they didnt leave from that spot and i mean they were sleeping there trading there eating etc. mubarak has always been a repressive leader usaully shuting down protesters with brute force and imprisoning thousands. The protester werent only attacking mubarak but also major corporations such as( ).. These companies have become monopolies over the country there for mubarak is able to control the price of everything and how everything will be prosced. to me that is absolute control over people and these acts are what fueled the uprising of the egyptian people to stand together and break free with a new form of civil order.

we stand together
as peers we are easy influenced with each other and if one majority groups has its prejudices against another minority then they basically set the standard for social acceptance. now , what we need in our society are more people willing to take a stand for someone else take the stand for someone who might not have the power or courage to do so otherwise. in this short film against homo bullying this kid was looked down upon even made fun of for sexual orientation and that in itself is not something that should be taken lightly, he's another person like me or you and has all the same feelings that we do. tin the video he felt alone and judged he was being harassed by a group of peers, and towards the end of the film we one of the kids who's bullying him ask him who is here to hold your hand now one kid in the crowd stands up for him and says "ill hold your hand". the little spark of acceptance that little spark of understanding was enough o spread like wildfire and soon everyone in the room started joining hands and standing up for one another because in todays world we need each other to help spread peace. and the moral of this story to me is to not let to not judge someone for being different than but to accept and understand them because you cant possibly judge someone unless you take two steps in there shoes.

Central asia and Greg mortison
What i thought of the film in one word is sympathetic. It makes you realize how in todays american society we take everything for granted. we take education food shelter clean water and the clothes off our backs everything. We forget how fortunate we are to sustain our live styles the way we do. The people in central asia have no real fork of a balanced living. The education system over there is very poor and low budgeted. The people over there are hungry for an education, so much so that write notes in the dirt with sticks. Greg mortison is a hero in a small town over there for all the great things that he has done. He built schools so the people can have a hope for a brighter future and a better life. When you compare our society to theirs, you simply cant. These people dont own tv's or automoblies becausce the lack capital and there just so scarce over there. Instead there more like a huge family working together to survive. They try focusing on educating the women primarily because they feel that the women our essenstial in there society that having them knowledgable will signify a since well being and prosperity within the people.
PEACE OF MIND
When i think of peace what comes to my mind is tranquility. I feel that the word itself is very soothing and we lack the meaning of it in our society as a whole. peace reminds me of the hippie movements in the 60's and 70's to stop Vietnam war so i think of symbols flowers and drugs. Peace is something our world will never have simply because not everyone on any topic. theirs always going to be disputes on a certain matter. Peace can even be considered fictional because it will never be achieved unless we were some perfect utopia of machines that have already been pre programmed. On the other hand, peace can also be something that we as human beings strife to feel, to work towards. So in a sense peace can be the key to a perfect life. In my mind peace is me sitting by the ocean watching the sun come up over the horizon, and I'm sitting there with my eyes closed focusing on the sounds of waves splashing against the shore, the smell of the air, the cool breeze brushing my against my body almost as if the breeze itself is brushing off all my imperfections all my problems, pains, sorrow, all my impurities. Its that moment that i like to picture peace at its finest.
